James Greening, Technical Support Officer of St Clair High School
Laptop Program
We are pleased to share that St Clair High School will be introducing a school supplied laptop model, starting with Year 7 in 2026.
From 2026 onwards, students starting in Year 7 will be provided with a consistent, school device designed to support learning in and out of the classroom. This change will help create a more streamlined, equitable and supported digital learning environment.
- Please note: The BYOD model will not apply to Year 7 (2026) students from 2026 onwards. The school supplied laptop model will continue to roll out with each new incoming Year 7 group in following years.
- Current students (Yr 7-12 2025) will continue under the current BYOD program
- Inclusive Education students have alternative arrangements and are supplied with laptops from their pool of devices. Inclusive Education students will not follow the BYOD arrangement.
Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)
Students in Year 7 to Year 12 (2025) are part of the Bring Your Own Device program.
School Issued Laptop (SIL) Program
Beginning in 2026, all Year 7 students will be issued with a school laptop replacing the previous BYOD model.
